Kazakhstan is strengthening its air connectivity with Armenia, opening new opportunities for travel, business, and tourism between the two countries.
Starting April 18, SCAT Airlines launched regular flights on the Aktau-Yerevan route, operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays using Boeing 737 aircraft, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Just days later, on April 20, Armenian carrier Shirak Avia joined the expansion, introducing a weekly flight between Astana and Yerevan every Monday, also operated on Boeing 737 planes.
According to Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee, the country continues to steadily broaden its flight network and increase frequencies. The newly launched routes are expected to boost trade, economic ties, business exchanges, and tourism flows between Kazakhstan and Armenia.
With more direct connections now available, travel between the two nations is becoming faster and more accessible-marking another step in deepening regional cooperation.
