Kazakhstan Extends Six-Month Ban on LPG Exports by Road and Rail

Kazakhstan has extended its ban on the export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) via road and rail transport for an additional six months.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Interagency Commission on Foreign Trade, chaired by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The government highlighted that the measure is aimed at ensuring stable domestic supply and price stability amid a growing number of vehicles using LPG as fuel, underlining the fuel's significant social importance.

During the meeting, the commission also reviewed other measures focused on protecting Kazakhstan’s domestic market.
