Kazakhstan’s Economy Surpasses $300B With 6% Growth

Kazakhstan’s economy grew by more than six per cent in 2025, with the country’s GDP surpassing $300 billion for the first time.

GDP per capita also exceeded $15,000, setting a regional record, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the milestone in an interview with Turkistan newspaper, saying, “Our economy grew by over 6 percent, GDP crossed $300 billion, and per capita GDP exceeded $15,000. These are record indicators for the region.”

At the same time, Tokayev warned against complacency, stressing that despite positive growth, Kazakhstan faces serious challenges, including high inflation, which continues to impact citizens’ well-being.

The president tasked the government and regional governors with strengthening the country’s socio-economic framework this year, urging civil servants not to rest on their laurels.

Earlier, Tokayev addressed key issues of domestic and foreign policy, socioeconomic development, and other pressing matters in his extended interview with Turkistan newspaper.
