Kazakhstan's Turkistan Launches New Agricultural Drone Production Facility

A new production facility for agricultural unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has officially started operations in Kazakhstan’s Turkistan region, marking a step forward in the country’s adoption of modern agri-tech solutions.

The factory, developed by Avatar Agricultural Technology Development, has an annual production capacity of up to 500 drones, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

Each agricultural drone is designed for crop spraying and can carry up to 70 liters of working solution, covering as much as five hectares per operation. The technology will help improve field efficiency, reduce resource consumption, and significantly boost labor productivity in the agricultural sector.

The company has already secured around 20 initial orders for its newly developed drones, indicating growing demand for precision agriculture technologies in Kazakhstan.

Looking ahead, the manufacturer plans to expand its production line to include drones for additional applications, such as firefighting and cargo transportation, with new models expected to enter production next year.

The launch comes as Kazakhstan continues to modernize its agricultural sector and expand its agri-export potential. Earlier reports showed that the country’s agricultural exports to Iran increased by 97% in 2025.
