Kazakhstan produced 365,400 tons of unrefined sunflower oil in the first seven months of 2025, marking a 24.9 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
Exports of sunflower oil surged by 46.2 per cent during the same period, with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, and France emerging as the main importers of Kazakh oil, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The average domestic price of sunflower oil currently stands at 832 tenge per liter ($1.55), ranging from 745 tenge ($1.39) in Turkistan to 928 tenge ($1.73) in Zhezkazgan as of August 12, 2025.
Earlier reports highlighted that Kazakhstan has seen a notable slowdown in price growth for sunflower oil since the beginning of the year, offering some relief to local consumers.
