Kazakhstan has signed a 44-billion-tenge ($85.332 milion) investment deal to build a modern sanitary ware plant in the Kyzylorda region.
The agreement was finalized by Industry and Construction Minister Yersayin Nagaspayev, Kyzylorda Governor Nurlybek Nalibayev, and Daniel Hernández, CEO of Roca Kazakhstan LLP, a subsidiary of Spain’s Roca Group, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The project supports President Tokayev’s goals of attracting investment, boosting local manufacturing, and promoting import substitution. The plant will produce and assemble ceramic sanitary ware, bathroom furniture, and other products, with construction set to begin in early 2026. Around 300 permanent jobs will be created, along with training opportunities for local specialists.
The facility will be Kazakhstan’s first highly automated sanitary ware production site, adhering to international environmental standards. With a design capacity of 500,000 units per year, the products will serve domestic and Central Asian markets, increasing high value-added output and export potential.
The investment follows discussions between Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Roca Group Chairman Santiago de Gomar Roca in June, reflecting Kazakhstan’s improving investment climate and growing investor confidence. Roca representatives highlighted Kazakhstan’s strategic importance and favorable business environment.
