Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are taking concrete steps to significantly expand their mutual trade.
As part of this effort, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration has prepared a draft agreement to establish bilateral Trade Houses in the capitals and major cities of both countries, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.
The document, now open for public discussion, aims to strengthen trade and economic cooperation and increase bilateral turnover on the basis of mutual benefit.
According to the draft, each country will host a dedicated Trade House:
In Almaty, the Turkmenistan Trade House in Kazakhstan will be established;
In Ashgabat, the Kazakhstan Trade House in Turkmenistan will be created.
These Trade Houses will serve as hubs for business cooperation, promoting national goods and services, organizing exhibitions and marketing events, and fostering active knowledge exchange among entrepreneurs.
The agreement also envisions government support from both sides, including assistance with registration, providing facilities, and developing essential logistics infrastructure to ensure effective operations.
If implemented, the initiative is expected to strengthen long-term ties, expand bilateral trade, simplify business interactions, and build a sustainable export and investment platform between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
