Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom are deepening economic and educational cooperation, signing a roadmap on critical minerals through 2027 and expanding British university campuses in Almaty and Aktobe.
During a London roundtable, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and UK officials discussed trade, investment, and rare earth elements, emphasizing green economy projects, AI-IT, and transport infrastructure, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Coventry University, Cardiff University, and Heriot-Watt University will open new campuses in Kazakhstan, while Charterhouse School will also expand locally.
Kosherbayev highlighted Kazakhstan’s 25-year economic growth, with a GDP exceeding $300 billion and over 60 per cent of Central Asia’s foreign direct investment. British investors, contributing hundreds of millions annually, aim to support sustainable supply chains, critical material production, and long-term strategic projects.
