Kazakhstan's team has delivered a strong performance at the International Weightlifting Championships in Kyrgyzstan, securing a total of five medals.
Gold medals were claimed by Akmolda Sairamkez in the 65 kg category, Ayanat Zhumagali in the 77 kg division, Saniya Ormanbayeva in the 86 kg class, and Akerke Baymanap in the +86 kg category, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Marta Davletiyarova added to the team’s success by winning silver in the 77 kg weight class.
The results highlight Kazakhstan’s continued strength in weightlifting and the growing depth of its athletes across multiple categories.
Moreover, 18-year-old Akzhol Kurmanbek from the Zhetysu region won the national adult championships. Competing in the 79 kg division, he set a new national record with a combined total of 352 kg, lifting 152 kg in the snatch and 200 kg in the clean and jerk.
