Official: Oil Exports Remain Steady in Kazakhstan

Kazakh Deputy Minister of Energy Sungat Yessimkhanov has said that the temporary suspension of oil deliveries through the “Druzhba” pipeline will not disrupt the country’s export flows or impact domestic fuel prices.

Yessimkhanov said that Kazakhstan is not heavily dependent on the route and has sufficient alternative export channels in place, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

“There is no major dependence on the Druzhba pipeline, and it will not affect fuel prices inside the country,” he explained. “The main export volumes go through the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, and colleagues are also working on alternative routes. As far as I know, there are currently no issues with oil exports.”
