President: Kazakhstan Ready to Supply Armenia With $350 Million Worth of Goods

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said that Kazakhstan is prepared to offer Armenia goods worth $350 million.

President Tokayev made these remarks following talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The Kazakh leader said the discussions focused on revitalizing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, with both sides agreeing to take concrete steps to boost mutual trade and expand the list of tradable goods.

Kazakhstan also expressed readiness to support Armenia’s export potential and emphasized the importance of launching joint investment projects. Strengthening business-to-business ties will be a key priority, the president noted.

President Tokayev highlighted that the Kazakhstan-Armenia Business Council will play an important role in bringing together entrepreneurs and advancing mutually beneficial initiatives.

In turn, Pashinyan reaffirmed Armenia’s willingness to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors. He underscored Kazakhstan’s importance for Armenia during a sensitive period in regional diplomacy.

Pashinyan recalled that key diplomatic meetings between Armenia and Azerbaijan were recently held in Almaty. He stressed that peace between the two countries is based on the Almaty Declaration, which holds significant political symbolism.

The Armenian prime minister also welcomed the upgrading of bilateral ties to a strategic partnership, calling it “a new level of Armenia’s engagement with the region.”

Earlier, President Tokayev confirmed that Kazakhstan-Armenia relations are advancing to a strategic partnership during a joint media briefing.
