Dushanbe hosted the third meeting of the Tajik-Kazakh Standing Commission on Cooperation, where officials focused on strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in trade, economic development, and future cooperation prospects.
The meeting brought together parliamentary delegations from both nations, led by the Commission’s co-chairs - First Deputy Speaker of the Tajik National Assembly Rajab Ahmadzoda and Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstan’s Senate Zhakip Asanov, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The sides paid particular attention to expanding transport and logistics infrastructure and fostering collaboration in digitalization and information technologies.
The delegations also underscored the importance of enhancing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, particularly in education, science, culture, and tourism.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties approved the Roadmap for the Development of Interparliamentary Cooperation for 2025-2027. They also agreed to intensify joint efforts to boost transit capacities between the two countries.
