Two Fishermen Were Rescued from Lake Maibalyk in Astana

Emergency Ministry rescuers evacuated two fishermen from Lake Maibalyk, The Caspian Post informs, via Zakon.kz.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, early in the morning of February 1, 2026, citizens fishing at Lake Maibalyk in Astana called for help. Search and rescue operations were organized.

During the course of the operations, rescuers evacuated two citizens, born in 1983 and 1989, who were unable to free their car from the snowdrift.

The citizens were taken to a safe location. They did not require medical attention.

The fishermen expressed gratitude to the rescuers for their timely assistance.
