US Businesses Aim to Boost Their Presence in Kazakhstan

Kazakh First Deputy Foreign Minister Yerzhan Ashikbayev has met with Jeff Erlich, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Kazakhstan, to discuss strengthening economic cooperation.

The sides agreed to work closely on implementing the key agreements reached during President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Washington in November, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

AmCham representatives reaffirmed their readiness to help expand the presence of US businesses in Kazakhstan and boost trade ties.

Tokayev’s recent trip to the US included high-level meetings with President Donald Trump, senior members of Congress, and top corporate leaders. The two countries also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in critical minerals, and secured more than $17 billion in new agreements.

The visit also featured talks with executives from major companies, including Chevron and John Deere, as well as discussions with US senators and representatives focused on deepening strategic and economic cooperation.
