Kyrgyz Ambassador to Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev has said that Kyrgyzstan and Belarus are strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.
Sultanbaev emphasized steady growth in bilateral trade, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.
Last year, trade turnover reached nearly $133 million, and both sides are now working toward an ambitious target: boosting that figure to $500 million within five years.
Sultanbaev noted that practical steps are already underway. A major driver of this momentum is the expansion of direct business-to-business contacts, including the Kyrgyz-Belarusian Business Forum held in Minsk this June during the Belagro exhibition.
The ambassador highlighted several successful joint projects. These include:
Elevator equipment production launched by Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush together with Mogilevliftmash.
Collaboration between the Kyrgyz Transformer Plant and the Minsk Electrotechnical Plant, resulting in transformer production for Kyrgyzstan.
Avtomash-Radiator, which not only supplies radiators to Belarus but also represents Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturers in Kyrgyzstan.
A pilot project installing rotary car parking systems from Mogilevliftmash.
Sultanbaev also pointed to major progress in the processing industry, including the construction of a waste processing plant in Karakol by Belarusian company Sifania Ecotechnika in partnership with local authorities. A similar project is now being planned for Bishkek.
The ambassador emphasized that these initiatives demonstrate growing trust and expanding opportunities between the two countries-setting the stage for a new level of economic partnership.
