Kyrgyzstan has achieved notable success at the Asian Youth Judo Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, with two athletes claiming bronze medals.
The under-21 tournament featured seven medal events for both men and women on the opening day, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Nine Kyrgyz judokas competed in the youth category, with Adis Orozmamatov (under 66 kg) and Zhanar Zholdosheva (under 57 kg) securing podium finishes.
In total, at least 37 athletes from Kyrgyzstan participated across age groups, including 20 cadets (under 18) and 17 youth competitors, highlighting the country’s growing presence in Asian judo competitions.
