Kyrgyz Top Official to Attend Global Green Forum in Russia’s Gorno-Altaysk

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration, Adylbek Kasymaliev, will embark on a working visit to the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation from July 24 to 26, where he will take part in the International Environmental Conference in Gorno-Altaysk.

Kasymaliev is scheduled to speak at the conference’s plenary session, which will gather high-level officials from across the region, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

The session will feature remarks from the heads of government of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, as well as the deputy prime minister of Turkmenistan. The agenda will center on urgent environmental challenges, with a focus on sustainable development and the global impact of climate change.

In addition to the plenary, the forum will host a series of expert and thematic sessions led by heads of national environmental agencies. Discussions will cover topics such as the preservation of the global water balance and the promotion of ecotourism as a strategic sector of national identity.

Participants will also explore avenues for international collaboration, including experience sharing and the launch of joint environmental initiatives aimed at advancing ecological resilience across the region.
