President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanar, who is in the country on an official visit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation, expanding economic ties, implementing joint projects in the fields of education, energy, transport, tourism, as well as interaction in the field of environmental protection, The Caspian Post reports citing Kabar.
The head of state noted with satisfaction that the visit of the Slovak delegation to Kyrgyzstan coincided with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the industrial cooperative "Intergelpo".
"The cooperative has made a significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyzstan's industrial base, and the work and dedication of its members have become a shining example of effective international cooperation," the president said.
He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan shares the commitment of European countries to environmental protection and combating climate change, and expressed interest in implementing joint initiatives in the field of environmentally sustainable development, transition to renewable energy sources, and creation of early warning systems for natural disasters.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanar expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the opportunity to hold a meaningful meeting at a high level.
He emphasized that the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Intergelpo industrial cooperative is a significant event and part of a common historical heritage, on the basis of which it is possible to build a joint future.
The minister noted that open and trusting relations have developed between the two countries, free from political disagreements, and Slovakia is interested in further strengthening bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
"On my way to Bishkek, I witnessed large-scale transformations and active construction, which testifies to the progressive development of the country. In this regard, I see significant potential for the participation of Slovak business in the economy of Kyrgyzstan," said Juraj Blanar.
The minister also expressed support for the reforms carried out in Kyrgyzstan, calling them a solid foundation for long-term sustainable development and stability. He especially noted the contribution of the Kyrgyz side to the peaceful settlement of border issues with neighboring countries in the region, emphasizing that such steps are important for building a secure and prosperous future.
In conclusion, Juraj Blanar expressed Slovakia's readiness to share experience in public administration and confirmed its intention to expand practical cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
