Kyrgyzstan Enters Pre-Election Silence Ahead of Vote

A pre-election silence has begun in Kyrgyzstan on the eve of the parliamentary elections.

On this day, political parties are prohibited from campaigning, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kabar.

The parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 30, 2025.

Kyrgyzstan has 30 electoral districts, each electing three deputies, making a total of 90 parliament members.

The Central Election Commission has registered 461 candidates for the early parliamentary elections. Some candidates have withdrawn and received warnings.

According to the Central Election Commission, 4,294,243 citizens are included on the voter lists:

Men - 2,081,514 (48.47%);

Women - 2,212,729 (51.52%).

Voter age breakdown:

18 years old - 104,693 (2.44%);

19-35 years old - 1,707,851 (39.77%);

36-45 years old - 923,975 (21.52%);

46-55 years old - 650,851 (15.16%);

On November 30 at 8:00 AM, 2,492 polling stations will open across the country. To ensure the rights of citizens living abroad, 100 polling stations have been established abroad. In addition, 27 remote voting centers are operating at airports (in the departure and arrival areas), large markets, shopping centers, pretrial detention centers, medical facilities, and other public places.

The early parliamentary elections will be held under a new system. Thirty multi-mandate constituencies have been created in the country, and a remote voting system has been introduced for the first time. The new equipment processes voter data in less than one minute and can serve up to 800 voters in 12 hours. These measures are aimed at creating the most convenient conditions and increasing voter turnout.

The Central Election Commission has registered 788 international observers. These include representatives of the CIS missions, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the Organization of Turkic States, TURKPA, the OIC, the OSCE PA, and PACE, as well as embassy staff.
