Kyrgyzstan has advanced to 105th place in the global military power ranking among 145 countries.
The announcement was made by Salamat Raimbayev, head of the Strategic Planning Department of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kabar.
He said that the achieved result was made possible thanks to the competent policy of the president, the cabinet of ministers and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.
“Currently, measures are being taken to strengthen the material and technical base, increase the professionalism of the officer corps, expand international military cooperation and introduce new technologies. These areas are being actively implemented in the Ministry of Defense,” Raimbayev noted.
He emphasized that the systemic reforms in the military sphere in recent years, as well as the support from the head of state, have made it possible to achieve significant results. "All these efforts have had a positive impact on the overall assessment indicator of military potential, contributing to an increase in Kyrgyzstan's rating. This has become an incentive to continue reforms and further strengthen the country's defense capability," he added.
