Kyrgyzstan Rolls Out Grand Welcome as Russian Leader Arrives for State Visit

A grand welcoming ceremony has been held at the Yntymak Ordo residence in Bishkek as Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov greeted Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrived for a state visit.

Putin’s motorcade entered the residence accompanied by mounted cavalry, while the square was decorated with national flags, traditional carpets, and elements of Kyrgyz cultural heritage. An honor guard lined up to receive the leaders, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Following the report from the guard commander, the national anthems of Kyrgyzstan and Russia were performed. Inspecting the troops, Putin surprised the ceremony by greeting the guard in Kyrgyz with the words: “Salam, asker!”

The presidents then introduced members of their official delegations. The honor guard followed with a ceremonial march before Japarov and Putin moved inside the residence for talks.

According to the visit agenda, the two leaders will focus on key aspects of Kyrgyzstan-Russia cooperation, interaction within integration organizations, and pressing regional issues.
