Kyrgyzstan Sees Rising Consumer Prices and Service Tariffs

Consumer prices and service tariffs have risen across all regions of Kyrgyzstan since the start of the year.

From January to September, Osh recorded the sharpest price jump at 7.5 per cent, driven largely by a 10.9 per cent surge in alcohol and tobacco prices, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

In the Chui region, rising food and non-alcoholic beverage prices pushed overall inflation to 9.5 per cent, while Issyk-Kul saw a more moderate 4.8 per cent increase.

Service costs also climbed, with the Talas region showing the steepest rise at 9.3 per cent. Officials note that these trends reflect broader market pressures seen across the country in 2025.
