Kyrgyzstan Sends New Group of Workers to South Korea Under Employment Permit System

The Overseas Employment Center has dispatched 20 more Kyrgyz nationals to work in South Korea through the Employment Permit System (EPS).

Before departure, the workers completed a five-day training covering Korean language basics, workplace ethics, and cultural adaptation to ensure smooth integration into their new roles, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Currently, over 1,500 Kyrgyz citizens are employed in South Korea’s manufacturing sector-spanning food, chemical, paper, and plastics industries-with an average monthly salary of around $1,500. Employers often provide housing and meals either partially or fully.

The partnership between the Kyrgyz center and South Korea’s Ministry of Labor spans 18 years, having successfully placed more than 5,000 workers through the EPS program. This ongoing collaboration continues opening doors for Kyrgyz citizens seeking international work opportunities.
