Kyrgyzstan Showcases Domestic Military Tech at CSTO Rubezh-2025 Exercises

The CSTO Rubezh-2025 joint military exercises, held near the town of Balykchy, has featured a significant milestone for Kyrgyzstan’s defense sector: a public showcase of domestically developed military hardware and technologies.

Commissioned by the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, the displayed equipment was developed by national defense enterprises and reflects the country's growing capabilities in defense manufacturing and innovation, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The live demonstration took place on the training grounds during the multinational drills, which brought together troops from member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

Among the key technologies on display were:

Modernized MT-LB armored personnel carriers, featuring upgraded mobility systems, enhanced communication tools, and improved protective armor;

A diverse array of reconnaissance and strike drones, including multi-rotor UAVs and fixed-wing aircraft-type drones suited for surveillance and tactical missions;

ILBIRS Titan FS and ILBIRS Hornet S armored vehicles, engineered for high-performance operations in challenging terrains, and outfitted with modern protection and communications systems.

The officials from the Ministry of Defense noted that each of these systems has undergone successful field trials and is slated for delivery to active-duty units in the near future. The integration of these platforms aims to significantly boost the mobility, lethality, and resilience of Kyrgyz military forces in modern combat scenarios.

Organizers emphasized that the display of indigenous military technologies during such a high-profile international exercise not only reinforces Kyrgyzstan’s role within the CSTO framework but also demonstrates the steady advancement of the nation’s defense industry.

The Rubezh-2025 exercises provided an ideal platform for testing interoperability among CSTO forces and highlighting the technological progress of member states-particularly that of Kyrgyzstan, which continues investing in strengthening its national defense capabilities.
