Kyrgyzstan will host a regular CSTO summit in its capital Bishkek on November 27.
The Collective Security Council (CSC) session is expected to adopt a Declaration outlining member states’ unified positions on key security issues and consider the candidacy of the next CSTO Secretary-General for 2026-2029, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Kyrgyzstan is set to nominate its candidate, in line with the rotation system among member states.
The summit will also announce priorities for Russia’s upcoming CSTO chairmanship in 2026, shaping the organization’s regional security agenda for the coming year.
Earlier, Tajikistan proposed synergies between the CIS, CSTO, and SCO frameworks to strengthen deradicalization and regional cooperation.
