Kyrgyzstan Tops List as Kazakhstan’s No.1 Gasoline Buyer in 2025

Kazakhstan’s fuel export sector has seen a notable shift this year, with Kyrgyzstan emerging as the leading importer of Kazakh gasoline.

Between January and May, Kazakhstan exported a total of 106,600 tons of gasoline, valued at nearly $65 million, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

Kyrgyzstan accounted for the largest share, importing 55,000 tons, followed closely by Uzbekistan, which received 46,600 tons.

In addition to gasoline, Kazakhstan's diesel fuel exports also saw a moderate increase. Total diesel shipments during the reporting period reached 19,100 tons, reflecting a 15.3 per cent rise (or 2,500 tons more) compared to the same period in 2024. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan again emerged as the main destinations.

The growth in fuel exports represents a significant development, especially considering that Kazakhstan did not export any gasoline during the same period last year.
