Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye have finalized a new action plan aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors.
The plan was developed following the 12th session of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, co-chaired by Kyrgyz Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, The Caspian Post reports via the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.
It includes measures spanning the economy, investment, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, tourism, healthcare, culture, education, and other strategic areas.
Kasymaliev emphasized that the initiative seeks to elevate Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye relations to a new level and achieve the $5 billion bilateral trade target set by the two countries’ leaders. He also proposed establishing joint logistics centers and certification platforms to help Kyrgyz products access Turkish and European markets more efficiently.
Yilmaz underlined Türkiye’s commitment to developing the strategic partnership, expressed optimism for increased mutual investments, and commended Kyrgyzstan for the well-organized session.
The meeting concluded with the signing of the commission’s protocol, a memorandum of understanding on land resources and cadastre, and an action plan between the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Türkiye’s KOSGEB.
