Kyrgyzstan Unveils 2026 Calendar With Longer Holidays

Kyrgyzstan has officially approved its 2026 production calendar, outlining all public holidays and days off for the year.

According to the schedule, citizens will enjoy a seven-day New Year holiday from January 1 to January 7. Additional long breaks are expected in May, with days off from May 1 to May 9, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The 2026 calendar also designates the following dates as official non-working days:

March 8 - International Women’s Day

March 21 - Nooruz

August 31 - Independence Day

Muslim holidays Orozo Ait and Kurban Ait will also be days off, with exact dates to be announced later.

Several shortened working days are planned as well:

Pre-holiday short days - March 20, April 30, December 31

Shortened holiday days - February 23 and April 7
