Magnitude 4 Earthquake Shakes Kyrgyzstan

A magnitude 4 earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan on October 14 at 1:17 p.m. (GMT+6).

Preliminary reports place the epicenter within the country’s borders, about 27 kilometers northeast of the village of Tash-Dobo, 34 kilometers northwest of Kara-Moinok, and roughly 70 kilometers southeast of the capital, Bishkek, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Residents in the surrounding villages of Kara-Moinok, Tash-Dobo, and Don-Alysh experienced tremors measuring approximately magnitude 2.5. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been issued.
