Magnitude 5 Earthquake Strikes Near Kyrgyz-Tajik Border

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck Tajikistan near the Kyrgyz-Tajik border at 2:08 p.m. on May 6, according to the Seismology Institute of the Academy of Sciences.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 23 km to the south-east of Bor-Dobo village, 38 km to the south of Kara-Kindik village, 48 km to the south-west of Nura village, 142 km to the south-east of Osh, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.
