A magnitude 3.7 earthquake struck southern Kyrgyzstan on the morning of July 21, 2025.
The epicenter of the quake was located near the city of Osh, at a depth of 10 kilometers, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The tremors registered an intensity of 4 points on the MSK-64 seismic scale at the epicenter.
The earthquake’s coordinates were pinpointed at 40.66° North latitude and 73.28° East longitude.
The seismic event was also felt in parts of neighboring Uzbekistan, including:
Khanabad District, where residents reported tremors measuring 2-3 points (approximately 29 km from the epicenter), and
Kurgantepa District, where the intensity reached 2 points (about 36 km away).
The epicenter was located 348 kilometers southeast of Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital. No casualties or damage have been reported at this time.
