A total of 4,000 textbooks, dictionaries, and other educational materials have been donated to schools and institutions throughout Kyrgyzstan as part of an ongoing initiative by Russia to support Russian-language education abroad.
The donation was announced by the Russian House in Bishkek, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Seventeen educational institutions across the country received the books, including public schools, universities, the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, and the military lyceum. The materials were primarily distributed to institutions employing educators who participated in the Women Changing the World competition, organized by the Union of Compatriot Women.
In the Sokuluk district of Chui region, the delivery was carried out with the support of Narodny Sobor, a compatriot organization actively involved in cultural and educational outreach.
This recent contribution adds to a series of previous donations. The Russian House in Bishkek earlier provided textbooks to Esenbekov Secondary School in the village of Tash-Aryk, located in the Talas region. Similarly, in southern Kyrgyzstan, the Russian House in Osh donated spelling dictionaries to School No. 6 named after Makarenko.
The initiative reflects the broader effort to promote Russian language and culture in Kyrgyzstan, where Russian remains one of the official languages and continues to play a significant role in education and public life. Organizers say the program is also aimed at strengthening ties with the Russian-speaking community and preserving shared cultural heritage.
Russian officials have emphasized the importance of such educational cooperation in maintaining historical and linguistic bonds between the two nations.
