From May to August, the Severomorsk Interregional Office of Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) inspected 42 shipments of agricultural products imported from Kyrgyzstan.
The shipments included fresh berries - such as strawberries, cherries, raspberries, loganberries, and blackberries - as well as fruits including peaches, nectarines, and apricots, delivered to Russia’s Arkhangelsk region, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The total weight of the inspected products reached 48.2 tons.
Rosselkhoznadzor conducted quarantine phytosanitary control, as berries and fruits are classified as high-risk products. Imports are only permitted with a valid phytosanitary certificate issued by Kyrgyzstan’s authorized body, verifying the safety of each shipment.
All shipments successfully passed the inspection and were issued phytosanitary quarantine certificates, allowing them to be used for their intended purposes.
