The rise of artificial intelligence is reshaping the labor market in Kyrgyzstan, but officials say it will not fully replace human workers.
The Ministry of Digital Development and Innovation Technologies says AI will primarily affect jobs based on repetitive and routine tasks, rather than eliminating entire professions, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
According to the ministry, roles at partial risk include:
Administrative staff
Call center operators
Entry-level translators
Accountants handling primary documentation
Some areas of media and education may also see changes, as AI becomes capable of generating basic texts and checking test assignments.
Experts emphasize that in fields such as medicine, law, IT, education, and public administration, AI will serve as a supporting tool rather than a replacement for professionals.
The biggest changes are expected in:
Banking
Telecommunications
Government services
These sectors already have strong digital infrastructure, making AI integration faster and easier.
The key trend will be a decline in routine work and growing demand for employees with analytical and creative skills, as economies adapt to new technologies.
While concerns about job loss remain, officials stress that AI is expected to transform work-not eliminate it.
