Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK, Ravshan Usmanov, met with Hüseyin Özhan, Acting Managing Director for Central Asia and Mongolia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), to discuss future cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EBRD.

The discussions centered around increasing the scale of projects, particularly those focused on developing the private sector and ensuring energy stability in Uzbekistan through renewable energy sources, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

They also explored infrastructure projects and social initiatives based on public-private partnerships.

Since Uzbekistan became a member of the EBRD in 1992, the bank has financed 170 projects worth 5.15 billion euros. Notably, 52 percent of these projects are being implemented by the private sector, highlighting the growing interest in investment and entrepreneurship in the country.
