The marine drones deployed by Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate have carried out attacks on Russian oil logistics hubs along the Black Sea, targeting ports in Novorossiysk and Tuapse.
The strikes disrupted key infrastructure at a Transneft oil terminal complex and a facility of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium near Novorossiysk, The Caspian Post informs via Ukrainian media.
These sites have been instrumental for loading crude onto tankers-including ships from Russia’s shadow fleet-and collectively have a capacity to export up to 2 million barrels of oil per day.
In addition, drones struck a petroleum loading pier at the Tuapse terminal, one of Russia’s major Black Sea oil-handling facilities.
Intelligence sources report that Russian return fire was haphazard and inaccurate, resulting in damage to residential buildings, the destruction of private vehicles, and panic among civilians in Novorossiysk, Tuapse, and nearby Sochi.
