At Least 8 Injured in Russian Ballistic Missile Attack on Kyiv

At least eight people, including an 11-year-old boy, were injured after Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on Kyiv early on July 11, causing damage and fires in several districts of the Ukrainian capital, local officials said, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyiv Independent.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said four of the injured were hospitalized, while the remaining victims received medical treatment at the scene.

Klitschko said damage had been recorded in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district and confirmed that the city was under a ballistic missile attack.

Additional explosions were heard at about 3:55 am.

Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko said a building was damaged in the Sviatoshynskyi district. He later reported that an office building caught fire in the Solomianskyi district as a result of the strike.

The latest attack came two days after Russia launched drones and ballistic missiles at Kyiv on July 8, killing four people and injuring 15 others.

Russian forces have repeatedly targeted the Ukrainian capital in recent weeks, including attacks on July 2 and July 6 that left dozens of people dead or wounded.
