Drone strikes have hit the port of Temryuk in Russia’s Krasnodar region, sparking a fire at two oil product storage tanks and prompting a large-scale emergency response.
The blaze spread across about 2,000 square metres, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
Around 70 firefighters and 18 units of equipment were deployed to contain the fire, including teams from the regional branch of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Officials said the fire was brought under control and confirmed that no casualties were recorded. Emergency and specialized services remain at the site to assess damage and ensure the area is secure.
Authorities also reported damage to several production buildings and pieces of agricultural equipment belonging to an enterprise in the village of Mykolaivka, in the Shcherbynivskyi district. Fires that broke out there were quickly extinguished.
The attack is the latest in a series of drone incidents targeting the Krasnodar region, a strategically important area near the Black Sea that hosts key energy and transport infrastructure. In recent days, officials reported damage to a pipeline at a terminal in the Temryuk district following another drone strike.
Earlier incidents include a drone attack on the Slavyansk oil refinery on November 30, where falling debris damaged facilities, and a reported large-scale drone assault on the Krymsk military airfield on November 15. Russian officials said at the time that dozens of drones were intercepted overnight, with no civilian casualties reported.
Krasnodar has increasingly come under drone attacks amid the ongoing conflict, with energy facilities and military sites among the frequent targets.
