Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye explore cooperation prospects

On March 6, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Ruslan Kazakbaev, held a meeting with Ayse Berris Ekinci, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

The issues were discussed at a meeting between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Ayse Berris Ekinci on March 6, The Caspian Post reports citing Kabar.

The Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye.

The parties reviewed in detail the schedule of visits and meetings at the highest and high levels, plans for holding joint events, including within the framework of Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Organization of Turkic States.

The ambassador and Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci also discussed in detail the issues of cooperation between the countries in education, medicine and increasing mutual trade turnover.

Other issues on agenda included further strengthening of cooperation within the United Nations, with the consideration of Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan's passport improved its position by 14 spots in the interactive Passport Index ranking compared to 2023-2024.
