Russian drones have struck Ukraine's capital Kyiv, damaging residential buildings and injuring at least four people, including a 16-year-old.
Debris from one drone fell in the Sviatoshinskyi district, breaking windows on the fifth floor of an apartment building. Emergency teams rescued people trapped inside, while medical personnel provided immediate care, The Caspian Post reports, citing Ukrainian media, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed two injuries, and Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv city military administration, reported one person trapped and injured. By 9:15 a.m. (GMT+2), four people had been affected, including a hospitalized woman and others treated on site.
The strike is part of a wider wave of Russian attacks across Ukraine, including the Rivne region, where residential buildings, vehicles, and a wooden farm building were damaged. Power outages hit multiple regions.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia might launch massive attacks during the Christmas holidays, despite Kremlin claims of a holiday truce.
