Türkiye and Libya have signed a memorandum of understanding following a meeting of the Economic Commission in Tripoli, held for the first time in 17 years.
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said that the sides reached an understanding to expand and diversify the successful cooperation between the two countries’ state-owned companies in the trade of oil and petroleum products, The Caspian Post reports via Bayraktar's message on X.

Bayraktar noted that Türkiye and Libya also expressed interest in working together on projects currently being implemented in Libya, both onshore and offshore. In addition, the talks explored prospects for partnership in renewable energy and the mining sector, signaling a broader push to deepen bilateral economic ties.
