2014 World Cup Winner Joachim Löw Turns Down Uzbekistan Offer

Former Germany head coach Joachim Löw has confirmed he will not take charge of Uzbekistan’s national squad.

Talks with the 64-year-old were held online with support from Uzbekistan’s embassy in Berlin, The Caspian Post reports, citing Bild.

Löw considered the Uzbekistan Football Association’s proposal for several days before turning it down.

The World Cup-winning coach guided Germany to victory at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.
