Baku Hosts European Judo Hopes Championship

The Baku European Judo Hopes Tournament & Technical Session with Kodokan Experts 2025, organized by the European Judo Union, kicked off at the Absheron Olympic Sport Complex.

The event brought together 436 athletes (364 male, 72 female) from 88 clubs representing 12 countries, The Caspian Post reports.

The tournament among U-13 & U-15 athletes will determine the winners and prize-winners in 33 weight categories.

The technical sessions are led by Serbian Aleksandar Kukoly, European champion & world silver medalist, and Japanese Kodokan specialist, world cup winner Tokuno Kazuhiko.
