Kazakh gymnast Akmaral Erekesheva won a historic gold medal at the Junior World Championships in Bulgaria, The Caspian Post reports citing the Zakon.kz.
The final round of the Junior World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in individual competitions started in Sofia (Bulgaria).
Akmaral Erekesheva made it to three finals from first place and won two awards. In the ball exercises, our athlete became the winner of the world championship. For her performance, she received 26.150 points. She also won "silver" in the hoop exercises - 26.950.
"Erekesheva's gold award was historic. For the first time, a representative of Kazakhstan won the World Junior Championships," the press service of the National Committee of Kazakhstan reported.
Today, June 22, Erekesheva will perform in the final of the ribbon exercises, and another Russian gymnast, Aiganym Rysbek, will perform with clubs.
