Iran Wins Men’s Volleyball Gold at 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games

Iran’s men’s volleyball team claimed the gold medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) in Riyadh after defeating Türkiye 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17) in Thursday’s final.

The victory marks Iran’s ninth gold medal of the tournament. Earlier in the competition, Iran had also beaten Türkiye 3-1 during the preliminary round of the volleyball contest, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.

In other matches, Bahrain secured the bronze medal after defeating Qatar.

Earlier in the day, Iran’s women’s volleyball team also delivered a strong performance, defeating Tajikistan in straight sets (25-2, 25-7, 25-8) to win third place.

The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, branded as Riyadh 2025, bring together over 3,000 athletes from 57 nations, competing across 25 sports from November 7 to 21, 2025, under the organization of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA).
