Tajik, Pakistani Special Forces Complete Successful Six-Day Anti-Terror Drills

Tajikistan’s military has announced the completion of a six-day joint counterterrorism exercise with Pakistan’s special forces at the Fakhrabad training camp.

The drills, named "Friendship-2025," brought together elite units from both countries’ special forces to conduct advanced training focused on counterterrorism tactics and operational methods, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

Pakistan’s military affirmed that the exercises met their training goals and strengthened military-diplomatic ties between the two nations.

This joint operation follows a strategic partnership agreement signed during Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Tajikistan in July 2024. Since then, the two countries have enhanced collaboration in military, defense, and security fields.

Further cementing these relations, Director General of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence Muhammad Asim Malik held official talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe in December 2024.
