Tajik Culture Minister Matlubakhon Sattoriyon has said that Tajikistan is reaffirming its commitment to cultural preservation and regional intellectual leadership.
Sattoriyon made these remarks at the international congress “Spiritual Heritage and Enlightenment in Central Asia” in Tashkent, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
She highlighted the strong historical and cultural ties linking the peoples of Tajikistan and the wider Central Asian region.
“Culture is enlightenment, the core of national consciousness, and a guarantor of peace,” Sattoriyon said, stressing the vital role of culture in promoting understanding, unity, and social cohesion.
She also called for reviving Central Asia’s role as an intellectual hub and actively involving youth in initiatives aimed at preserving and celebrating the region’s rich cultural heritage.
“Culture is a force capable of preventing conflicts. It teaches understanding, unity, and not opposition. That is why, in our region with its rich religious and ethnic diversity, the development of cultural and interfaith dialogue is of particular importance,” the minister added, underlining the potential of cultural initiatives to foster peace and cooperation across Central Asia.
The forum served as a platform for sharing ideas on heritage preservation, youth engagement, and interfaith dialogue, positioning Tajikistan as a key advocate for cultural diplomacy in the region.
