A high-level delegation from Tajikistan, led by First Deputy Prime Minister Hokim Kholiqzoda, has taken part in the 3rd Central Asia-European Union Economic Forum held in Tashkent.
The event gathered senior representatives of Central Asian governments, EU institutions, international financial organizations, the private sector, and leading experts to discuss key areas of regional cooperation, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.
Forum participants focused on improving the business and investment climate, advancing structural reforms, supporting green and digital transformation, strengthening trade and economic ties, and modernizing transport and logistics infrastructure across the region.
Speaking at the forum, Kholiqzoda emphasized Tajikistan’s strong partnership with the European Union and highlighted the country’s interest in implementing joint projects that support long-term sustainable development for both Tajikistan and the wider region.
The discussions also underscored the importance of boosting industrial cooperation, improving digital competitiveness, upgrading energy systems, and creating favorable conditions for expanding trade and investment.
At the conclusion of the forum, all sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation, implementing joint investment initiatives, and enhancing the region’s economic resilience.
On the sidelines of the event, Kholiqzoda held meetings with EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela and European Investment Bank Vice-President Marek Mora. The talks centered on expanding investment cooperation and advancing projects in infrastructure, energy, green development, transport, and digitalization.
