In the first six months of 2025, Tajikistan’s exports of aluminum and chemical products reached $131.7 million, marking an increase of $35.3 million compared to the same period last year.
The main export items included primary aluminum, aluminum profiles, and industrial explosives, which were shipped to Central Asian countries such as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as to Russia, Türkiye, and European markets, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
At a recent press conference, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies reported that the country produced over 11,500 tons of processed aluminum during the first half of the year-an increase of 3,600 tons, or 45 per cent, compared to the first half of 2024.
Key contributors to this growth included major companies like Titan-8888 (1,536 tons), Tochprof (730 tons), Alumin Prof (588 tons), and the Tajik Aluminum Company (589 tons). The ministry highlighted that these enterprises have been instrumental in boosting aluminum processing, significantly enhancing Tajikistan’s position on the international stage.
Long-term trends show a substantial rise in aluminum processing since 2016, with volumes climbing from 7,800 tons in 2016 to 15,500 tons in 2023, and reaching 18,900 tons in 2024.
Overall, Tajikistan’s machine-building, defense, and chemical industries produced goods worth 2.5066 billion somoni ($267.756 million) in the first half of 2025, reflecting a 28.3 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
