Tajikistan’s Culture Days Open in Bishkek With Music, Dance and Friendship

The Days of Tajik Culture have officially opened in Bishkek, bringing music, dance, and artistic performances to the Kyrgyz capital as the two neighboring countries deepen cultural ties.

The celebrations began on May 19 with a grand opening ceremony attended by senior officials, artists, and residents, highlighting a renewed spirit of friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, The Caspian Post reports via Kabar.

Kyrgyz Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Minister Mirbek Mambetaliev said the cultural program reflects growing cooperation between the two nations and aims to strengthen people-to-people connections through the arts.

Tajik Culture Minister Matlubakhon Sattoriyon Amonzoda joined creative delegations and cultural figures at the opening event, which featured the concert program “Triumph of Friendship.”

Audiences enjoyed performances by leading Tajik singers and musicians, along with appearances by the celebrated dance ensembles Lola and Parastu.

Cultural cooperation in theater, cinema, literature, and music has entered a new phase in recent years, supported by closer dialogue between the two countries’ leaders.

The Days of Tajik Culture in Bishkek will continue through May 21 with exhibitions, meetings, and additional cultural events designed to showcase Tajik heritage and strengthen regional friendship.

The celebrations come as Central Asian countries increasingly expand cross-cultural initiatives, including the ongoing Art and Culture Days of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan.
